Congratulations on the New Military Governor of the West Bank

The American administration has decided to replace Muller, the American military governor of the West Bank, with a new governor named Paul Bushong — and here is his photo on the internet.

Bushong serves as commander of American forces on the island of Guam, holds the rank of admiral, and has risen through numerous military posts. He will be responsible for organizing the affairs of the Palestinian security forces, and for the tasks of coordination between these forces and the forces of the Zionist occupation. As for his office, for anyone who wishes to pay his respects and offer his loyalty and obedience, it will be at the American consulate in Jerusalem, which serves as the seat of the American High Commissioner for the West Bank.

It seems the Americans believe that changing those who ride us brings us relief. Instead of remaining under a single rider, changing riders creates a new atmosphere, and creates joy for the ridden.

We are beasts of burden for whoever wishes to ride us, and the Americans toy with us however they please. Is there anyone who would say otherwise?

I call on everyone who is unhappy with this riding of us to express their rejection of it in practical terms.

The Americans have lost in the Arab countries because of their arrogance and their support for despotism, corruption, the Zionists, and their collaborators. Here in Palestine, too, they will lose, but their loss will not come at the hands of those who express their anger only in whispers. We must stand with ourselves, with our people, our homeland, and our nation. We are the ones most entitled to defend our dignity, our honor, and our very existence.
