Egypt's Grand Mufti Pays Israel $100

On his visit to Jerusalem the Noble, the astonishing sheikh, the Grand Mufti of the Arab Republic of Egypt, applied for an entry visa from Israel. The visa fee was 200 Israeli shekels, and the fee for entering Israel was 170 shekels.

The total: 370 shekels, equivalent to about $100. Did the Mufti pay this sum out of his own pocket, or was it charged to Egypt’s Dar al-Ifta? Egypt’s People’s Assembly ought to investigate this matter, particularly since it amounts to high treason against Egyptians and against the entire Arab nation. This sum the Mufti paid — on top of the other expenses tied to travel and transport — is very large, and constitutes substantial support for the Israeli army.

If the cost of producing a single M16 round, the kind generally used by the Israeli army, is 15 agorot (an agora being 1/100 of a shekel), then the Mufti has effectively contributed to the production of 2,466 rounds. In other words, he has supplied the Israeli army with enough ammunition to kill at least 2,466 Arabs.

The Mufti said he visited Jerusalem to raise the nation’s awareness of its holy status — and instead ended up contributing to the possibility of seeing Egyptian corpses piled up. It is essential that the Mufti trace which pens wrote for him, and which against him.

It is clear that His Eminence the Sheikh has won the endorsement of those who normalize with the Zionists, of the secret and open collaborators with Israel and those who recognize it, of those groveling beneath America’s feet, and of the supporters of the repressive, despotic, collaborationist regimes that have filled the earth with injustice, treachery, and collaboration. He has also been endorsed by those working day and night to inflame sectarian strife between Sunnis and Shiites.

There are some Palestinians who wrap the visit to Jerusalem in national and religious packaging, wishing the nation would be dragged into the very depths of humiliation they themselves have led the Palestinian people into. Egypt’s Mufti ought not to lend an ear to these voices, because whoever recognizes Israel wants neither Jerusalem, nor the refugees’ return, nor the establishment of an independent, sovereign state. Had the Mufti instead picked up a rifle and declared he was heading to Sinai to force his way through to Jerusalem, his step would have reached hundreds of millions of people, and millions would have blazed with support and emulation for him.

There is still time, if he wishes to atone, even a little, for what he has done.
