Enough

The assaults against me have been repeated, specifically by the Palestinian Authority. I was shot at on 20 August 1995 and hit by four bullets. The Palestinian Authority arrested me on 29 February 1996 to intimidate me, for two days; then it arrested me on 28 November 1999 for forty days; then it arrested me on 6 January 2000 for six months. The intelligence apparatus, led by Midhat al-Omari, searched my home office while I was detained in Jericho, without any judicial warrant, taking advantage of my absence.

This is in addition to the defamation campaign being waged against me by security agencies and individuals, as well as attempts to get to me through certain fallen women. All their attempts failed.

And finally, my car was set on fire, at dawn on 27 April 2005.

Here are the strugglers before you, who are merely a drop in the ocean across the various governorates of the homeland. What has kept me, until now, from inflicting physical or material harm on anyone is my ethics and my Islamic and national affiliation. My plea is that no one force me into taking an exceptional action that neither I nor the honorable people of this homeland would regard as commendable. And my plea to all the strugglers, the mujahideen, and the sincere ones, is that they find an excuse for me.
