The Revolution of the Palestinian People
by Dr. Abdul-Sattar Kassem
One corrupt man said to another: “Don’t embezzle the money of the martyrs’ children wholesale.” His companion replied: “This is a flock of sheep that knows nothing but the smell of the slain.”
We must prove to this corrupt man, and to his like, and to their Zionist masters, that the Palestinian people is alive, and refuses injustice, humiliation, and surrender.
The revolution of the Palestinian people is the heading of this stage. Nations, regimes, and governments have ganged up on us, and traitors, the reckless, the faint-hearted, and thieves have ganged up on us, to shatter our will, strip us of our rights, and banish Palestine into the depths of obscurity and forgetting. Where do we stand? We are rising up in revolt against enemies and impostors alike, and our goal is clear: to restore the Palestinian cause to its rightful place and standing in minds and hearts, on the way to liberating it from the usurpers and their failed collaborators.
To achieve this goal, we work toward:
Restoring the unity of the Palestinian people wherever they may be found, on the basis of liberation, not compromise.
Abrogating the agreements with the Zionist entity, and halting every form of normalization with it, whether at the Palestinian or the Arab level.
The free are those who liberate, build, and advance.
The relentless pursuit of self-reliance, as far as possible, in providing life’s necessities, and seeking help only from those who reject the usurpation of Palestine and do not recognize the Zionist entity. Spreading a culture of work and production in place of a culture of idleness, complacency, and dependence on others, and spreading a culture of liberation in place of a culture of consumption.
Insisting that our rights are to be seized, not begged for.
Raising the level of awareness of the Palestinian cause and of national responsibility, and reinforcing the values of loyalty and belonging to the land and the holy sites among every sector of the Palestinian people, and among the Arab and Islamic masses.
Affirming that Palestine and its people are an inseparable part of the land of Greater Syria and its people, which are in turn an inseparable part of the Arab homeland and nation, and that the Palestinian cause is the cause of Arabs and Muslims alike.
Developing educational, cultural, and intellectual programs aimed at keeping the people united even while scattered.
There are those who complain a great deal and do nothing, and whoever does not wish to work should not complain.
